Position Summary

Under direct supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of applicable systems and healthcare requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies basic systems requests. Includes analysis of organization and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direct supervision of more senior Systems Analysts. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.


Education

Experience may be accepted in lieu of education (High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience; Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree and one year of relevant experience or Master's Degree or higher and no relevant experience).

High School Diploma or GED-Required

Bachelors-Preferred


Experience

Experience or academic training in a clinical, business or healthcare environment.

System Analyst work - Epic ASAP and Epic Devices

Epic ASAP certified analysts, primarily support our emergency department functionality and endusers, as well as system / hospital wide Epic patient device integration.  This team collaborates with other integrated applications to ensure high quality care for our patients, and system engagement is maintained by our emergency room customers. 

 

Ideal candidates excel at time management, problem solving and have a great deal of initiative; they can tease out the core issue of a problem as well as conceptually see the big picture in what they do.  Team members balance requested project work with incident support and opportunities for system optimization that benefit endusers and patients, while collaborating with operational support staff to implement and support efficient workflows and patient care metrics.

 

  • This position will serve as part of the Epic Product Line within the HSHS Information and Technology Services ASAP team.
  • Candidates will be assigned an appropriate level at the time of offer. Levels are assigned based on a candidate’s level of education and relevant experience and taking into consideration internal equity.
  • If applicable, HSHS will provide Epic certification support for candidates who are not already certified.
  • The employment of candidates hired to positions requiring Epic certification will be contingent upon completing the appropriate Epic module training and certification within a reasonable period of time as required for the position.
  • Evening, night and/or weekend on-call support as scheduled may be required.
  • Travel to other HSHS locations and affiliates may be required.
